We all have it and we all want it to just go away.
Anxiety and stress creeps into our brains and sets up shop. We have incessant chatter in our heads keeping our minds distracted by rehashing the past or making lists of what we need to do in the future.
We are missing what’s right in front of us. Life itself.
How does anxiety and stress impact us?
When anxiety and stress reside in your body it reveals itself in many ways.
It can show up in our lives as fatigue, insomnia, stomach and/or intestinal discomfort, depression, addiction, a short temper/anger, difficulty concentrating, weight gain, chronic pain, harsh self judgement, for students – panic when taking tests, loss of motivation, poor athletic performance and it may make you look years older than you actually are.
If this persists your body creates an internal environment of stress. Whether you are actually in a stressful situation or just thinking about one (rehashing an event or memory…again) your lizard brain kicks in and sends out the red alert! Depress the immune system! Turn off cell repair mechanisms! We need all of our energy to run away from the lion that’s chasing us….run!!!!!! Oh, you were just thinking about the time when someone cut you off in traffic.
Oops…sorry about that, but there’s no difference to me says our lizard brain. I was only trying to save you.
Ever notice how easily you get sick when stressed?
Can you see how anxiety and stress can make you ill?
Humans are the only living being that keeps punishing ourselves for the same things. Over and over and over again. When we keep our body in this state of red alert we are compromising our natural healing ability and are leaving ourselves susceptible to illness. Most if not all of us have experienced this. Ever notice how we get sick very easily during extra stressful times?
And we stay sick longer and catch it again and again…unless we reduce the anxiety and stress in our lives. Or we may not get the cold or whatever illness that’s going around but we can’t seem to shake the knot in our neck or our back. We don’t recall injuring ourselves, but we find ourselves in almost constant discomfort or even chronic pain.
Relief is at your fingertips
So what do we do?
Well, you know I have the antidote…wait for it…Yes! EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) works wonders for releasing anxiety and stress in our bodies.
A caring practitioner will be able to gently get to the root of the anxiety and stress and lead you through the release of the toxicity from your body. You see our mind communicates with our bodies via chemicals.
Ever notice when you experience a sudden hit of anxiety that your stomach gets upset? That’s the brain communicating danger to the body, and in your body it hits your stomach. It may hit someone else’s chest by making it feel tight. The location it impacts your body is a clue to an energy practitioner as to what may be behind the distress.
You know you need to let it go
The bottom line is that anxiety and stress are extremely harmful to your body.
If your body is in this state too much of the time you will begin to notice physical symptoms. Your energy body is communicating to your physical body and you feel ill, can’t sleep, snap at everyone, begin self-medicating more…you get it.
EFT/tapping is extremely effective for releasing anxiety and stress. It is simple to learn and self-apply. It’s advisable to work with a caring practitioner to clear out all the cobwebs, then you can use it on yourself and clear any subsequent anxiety or stress before it takes hold in your body. What an awesome tool for your wellness tool box!
Clear the stress, heal your mind and body. EFT works!
